2024 Next Generation Summer Camp - Session ONERising 7th-10th Graders

Camp Instructor: Amy Hartt will be the Session 1 Camp Director this summer. Amy is a rising senior at East Carolina University pursuing a BFA Theater Arts Education degree with a minor in Stage Management. Among her accomplishments at ECU has been helping found The Shakespeare Guild for which she is currently the Co-President. She can’t wait to spread the love of the Bard’s work at New Bern Civic Theatre this summer!

Camp Schedule: June 17-28 (Monday-Friday), 8:00 AM-3:00 PM

Showcase Performance:  June 29th @ 2:00 PM

This two-week workshop teaches children teamwork, confidence, expression, imagination, and develops a positive self-image.  The workshop ends with a public performance for the children to showcase all they have learned!

Note on tuition and payment: To secure enrollment please pay tuition in full with camper application, or pay a $50 nonrefundable deposit and pay the balance via a payment plan.For applicants seeking scholarship funds for tuition, please pay the deposit amount with application. If a camper is awarded a Full Scholarship the deposit will be returned in full. If the camper receives a Partial Scholarship, the unpaid balance due will reflect a $50 tuition reduction.

Camp Schedule: July 29-August 2 (Monday-Friday), 8:00 AM-3:00 PM

Showcase Performance:  August 2 @ 3:00pm

Camp Instructor: Madison (Madi) Duke will be the Session 2 Camp Director this summer. Madi is a student atEast Carolina University pursuing a BFA Theater Arts Education degree and is the President ofthe Theater Education Association. Madison has been in leadership at similar camp settings in NC and looks forward to becoming part of the NBCT team.

This one-week workshop teaches children teamwork, confidence, expression, imagination, and develops a positive self-image.  The workshop ends with a showcase performance for the children to showcase all they have learned!
